Great piano master and a Little Star

This is a wonderful story to remind us how God works in our lives. I hope you are encouraged by it. Wishing to encourage her young son's progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her. Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked "NOADMITTANCE." When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, "Don't quit. Keep...

Burned Biscuits

When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school... When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said: "Honey, I love burned biscuits." Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real ...

Nick Vujicic

If you haven’t heard the story of Nick Vujicic, then gather your tissues and step away from any cliff because you will believe that you can fly after hearing about this inspiring Christian man. Nick Vujicic is a native Australian who was born without any arms or legs. His parents were initially devastated since Nick would never be able to live a life that they had wished for him. But they never gave up and continued to love Nick. Nick Vujicic came from a strong Christian family and their faith would eventually help Nick become an inspiration to the entire world. He was eventually able to attend and graduate from the traditional mainstream school in Australia and learned how to accomplish tasks that would seem impossible for a man without any limbs. He learned how to write, type, shave, get a glass of water and many other simple tasks that require minimal thought for us. Even with all of these personal accomplishments, Nick Vujicic became depressed and quietly began to contemplate s...
